Join us at the beloved Mary S. Young Park to remove ivy at these first Saturday work days. Volunteers have worked continuously for more than 15 years to remove ivy and other non-native vegetation, plant native plants and trees, build trails, etc. You will get a good workout and feel good about contributing to the health of this beautiful forest.
Tools are provided. Work gloves and sturdy footwear recommended. Activities include: Invasive Plant Removal.
David Kleinke is SOLVE’s Restoration Event Leader of the Year. David began hosting volunteer events to care for natural spaces and parks in West Linn more than 7 years ago. Under his guidance, literally hundreds of volunteers have engaged in restoration work and in turn have been exposed to the zen art of pulling English Ivy and maintaining park trails. Thank you for being a steward of our land, David!
